Whats been keeping me busy these days!

So now you know what I have been doing in my free time. My garden is coming in big time right now. Mom and I have been canning pickles, shredding zuchini for bread, and freezing squash.
I have alot of tomatoes but they are slowly turning red. The cucumbers are coming in hugh numbers, thus the need to make pickles. I have done a little bit of Art in my journals too but mostly I am outside. Its been so HOT here since last friday. I have to work outside in the early mornings and its nice then as the humidity isn't so unbearable. I also have to work in the late afternoons, after sun has gone down some. But even in the late afternoons the humidity will make you soaking wet. Tonight we are getting some late night thunderstorms and hopefully a little rain for the garden.
Tomorrow night we close on our house that we have been trying to sell this past year. It will be so nice to get that off our backs. And I only have 6 more days to work and then I will be off until August. I still don't know what my position will be when I go back to work at the beginning of the school year. I am trying to not worry about that right now. I am just going to enjoy being off in the summer.

I hope every one is doing well and stay cool if your weather is as hot as ours is at the present time.
I will be posting more when I am off work! Miss you all!

So happy to hear that you've sold your house! I know that is a load off of your mind. I'll be praying that your new job will be better than before.

Your gardens look wonderful! All the rain we were having earlier has probably been a blessing for people with gardens. I agree totally with your comments about the more recent heat and humidity. It's been awful! If you stay outside for a few minutes doing anything you're drenched in sweat! I've been wishing for rain again.

Holly says it's been really hot in Waco, Texas where they are now, around 100 degrees somedays, but the humidity will only be around 40% and that you can tell the difference. Of course, she lived in Tuscaloosa for the last several years and it is like a sauna there in the summer.

Enjoy your upcoming vacation!

Congrats on the house!
Your garden looks a bunch like mine.
I've been making jam and will pickle this weekend.
As for work the world changes for us come the 1st of July, but we are year round.

Your veggie garden and flowers are looking wonderful and I know how busy it can keep you! We just finally got to plant the veggie garden 2 weeks ago and I noticed that a lot of it is starting to come up now. This heat we've been having has been helping. Come August I'll be busy with the canning and pickling as well...while you'll be all done! lol xoxo

Well, the Deegan clan will eat well and with beautiful centerpieces this summer! That's awesome!

And three cheers on the house. What a relief.
