Stressed

Yes, that's me,,feeling kind of stressed out right now. Tomorrow is my last day in my current work position. Today I have to go interview at another school that I do not even want to work at because of gang activity in the school and also its a lot farther for me to drive every day. I desperately hope the principal doesn't offer me the position. I had to apply because the Human Resource workers kept urging me to apply for it. I felt kind of pressured into it.
I keep hoping something will happen so I can stay where I am at now, I like it here and I love the wonderful friend that I work with. But I also applied for two more positions that are as close as this school.
I keep trying to contact the HR people to find out what is going to happen if after tomorrow I have no job yet. I don't know if I can draw unemployment, or even if I will have health insurance.
I was reassured at the end of May that I would not be without a job but now I am not trusting them so much. I mean how can you treat a person who has worked for a system for 25 years, half of their lives, this way. Just leave them hanging not knowing whats going to happen. But I guess there are so many people like me now days so I try to not whine about it too much but its really getting on my nerves. Please keep me in your thoughts and send good vibes my way. Its pretty scary trying to figure out if your going to be able to pay your bills or not.

I hope every one had a great week-end. We are finally getting a break from the horrible heat and humidity this week.

Thanks to all my blogger buds!

Oh Beth, my heart goes out to you, I can well imagine the stress you're going through, waiting to see what happens. It would be nice to know the answers to the questions you have but unfortunately those in office don't seem to be in any hurry to give those answers!!! Hopefully things will work out the way you want them to. Prayers are being said!! xoxoxo

I'm thinking lots of good thoughts and sending them your way. Why do people think it's ok to keep you hanging? Not knowing is the worst. I'd rather know up front even if it's bad news.

That is a bad place to be all right. But, even if the HR people aren't looking out for you, God is. That is the best guarantee you can have. You'd think they'd at least tell you about the insurance and stuff! We'll have to pray for them. I know budget cuts are leaving so many people with no safe place to fall! Yikes!

I'm so sorry you are going through such a stressfull time right now.
I hope things work out better than you expect .. hang in there sounds ridiculous but sometimes keeping hold of our sanity by our finger nails works for a while ?
Best of luck

I'm sorry you are going thru this uncertainty of employment right now. That is sooo difficult. Let's pray that there is a job waiting for you and you will be happy with it. Hang in there thru the not knowing. Big hugs, C

And doggie kisses to Lady from the Jack pack.

Hi Beth,

This is sad news indeed. I was hopeful something would come through, even though things are tight. I would think you'd be OK on the unemployment if they don't take you for the "bad" school, but I don't know about health insurance -- you might be able to get Cobra if Daniel can't add you to a plan.

Many prayers and good wishes are coming your way for some resolution and one that is soon.
