Summer Blues!!!!

For the past 24 years I have been off in the Summer. I purposely worked for the school system so I could be off in the summer months, espiecally when my children were young. I felt like I should be home with them in the summers so we could have fun together and also for supervising them too.
After all those years I got so use to being off in the summer months. But this year when I took the new position, I knew that I wouldn't be getting my summers free any more. I told myself that I would be ok and that making more money would make up for the freedom. UH,,Wrong,,now that summer is here,,,I sure do miss being off!!! Oh well,,its just a give a take life. At least I get off at 2:30 and can still enjoy most of the day. Just a little Thursday whining session,,please forgive!
Hugs out to all of you!!!!

Beth I can appreciate your feelings because I look forward to the summer ...a short one I might add in my part of the world...after such l-o-n-g (((cold))) winters!I agree getting off at 2:30 allows you the best part of the sunshine days! Happy gardening!

I can relate. It's hard coming back after a four-day weekend, much less knowing you won't see that extended period of time. Hang in there, my friend. Do they allow flex time there -- maybe, 10 hour day, four days a week?

We're all allowed to whine once in a while! hehe I can well imagine how hard it will be to get use to having to work throughout the summer when you were so used to having it off!

Love all the pictures you took of your yard sale...your mom is just gorgeous:-) Having just had a yard sale myself not long ago, I certainly do know all the work that goes into making one! Makes me think twice about ever having another one again! lol

When you get a chance, come over to my blog to enter my giveaway:-) xoxo

Summers off would be delightful. No wonder you miss them. It'll take some adjustment.
