So most of the day I just took it easy. I did get some hostas planted for Mom. And this week, Daniel made me a new flower bed in the back of the house. I have some plants from the old house that I am going to brind up and put in it. I did buy a lavendar plant for it and have some zinnias and marigolds starts in it. Below is a picture of the new clematis that I bought last week. It is so pretty and suppose to bloom all summer until the fall.
I have the pot next to a pole with a old bell on it. It should climb up it look so good.
Below is the new flower bed. Of course I had to add some of my garden decor in it. Looks kind of bare right now but this summer it will fill out.
I have a hugh patch of Lily of the Valley in the front of the house. Mom planted it there several years ago. I am going to try to thin it out this summer.
This is where I like to see the thermometer sitting at. Not to hot and not too cold.
This is my pond that I set up on the deck. I have some decorative blocks that I am going to put around it. Daniel brought them home from the old house yesterday.
And this is where I sat on saturday afternoon. Reading a garden magazine and sipping a Corona. Life was good.
Hear are some pictures of some of my plants on the deck and some of the hanging baskets.
Thanks for taking a little tour with me. Today the weather is quite a bit chillier. I guess we are having either dogwood winter or locust winter. Tonite's lows in the the upper 30s. Some of the house plants will have to come in but I think the rest will be ok. Highs in the 80s again by Thursday.
I hope every one had a wonderful week-end! xoxoxooxoxoxoxooxoxox

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.
I would have never thought cherry either. You just don't see them around here.
See you tomorrow!
Beth, thank you for coming by...Arney put up the hooks so that I can pull the curtains up and to the side, it looks nice. I have always had topper for my windows. This is the first time in many years that I hve gone for long curtains....I am so glad that I went out and got the.
Sounds like you are not feeling to well either, Be well Dear Friend...I love the pictures, they are beautiful. Hugs, Mary
Sounds like a fairly good weekend save for the aches and pains.
Ours was/is scorching, hopefully it will pass.
I just typed a post and lost it, I think, so my apologies if 2 show up. Love your photos! You have a wonderful place to relax. Is that a screened in porch? We have the beginnings of one, but could only be called a pergola at this stage, with a floor and the framework of the walls and ceiling. I have made all kinds of promises to my dh if he'd only finish it, as I've ALWAYS wanted one, but to no avail!
Glad to hear Lottie is feeling better!

Hi, Bethie -- been thinking of you and hoping all is well with you, your mom... glad you got to dig in the dirt -- I know that's good therapy for you.
Been crazy busy so out of touch on e-mail and blogs, but hoping to get back in the groove soon! At least I started posting again! Hugs!
I'm so loving all of your flowers, will be anxious to see more pictures in the summer when they're blooming all over:-) You will love your clematis...I planted one 4 years ago and every year it gets bigger and climbs even higher and it's full of blooms all summer long. Even when you think it's finished, a week or two later and it starts to bloom again. Hopefully yours does that for you too:-) I'm still waiting for my tulips to bloom...no other flowers will be blooming around here until mid June.
It's turned really cold here, been staying in the 30's the last few days and it was even snowing a while ago but thankfully it didn't stay on the ground. After having had snow on the ground for 6 months, I don't think I can bear to have more of it now! lol
Hope you're feeling better and know that your mother is still in my prayers. xoxo
I have been so out of it this last week, so it is nice to see all your lovely garden stuff already blooming. We are having winter one day and summer the next. Really, and not that usual or unusual for here. But you have a fountain like I've always wanted. What a lovely thing to read by. Sigh!!!
Oh Bethy, everything looks so pretty. Come on over here and help me in my beds! Oy!!! I can't believe your lily's of the valley! WOW! It has been gorgeous weather, hasn't it! Keep me posted about Saturday. xoxo
You have the place looking so nice.
