Mom got to come home from the hospital yesterday. We are having to give her blood thinner injections in the stomach every 12 hours. She has some strong pain patches on and is really heavily medicated, I really hate seeing her like that but I also hate to see her in pain.
She cannot have physical therapy until they know the blood clot is gone. A home health care nurse will be checking in on her too. My step brother is there taking care of her and his dad.
Mom is really weak and cannot hardle walk except to the bathroom. So I guess we will take it day by day. As soon as the blood clot has disolved she can start therapy. I am hoping that the pain in the back will subside too. I am also praying to God to please let be like she was before.
I really miss her and the fun we had together.
Thanks to everyone for the love and support you have given to us. It means so much to me.
You all are so wonderful and I feel so lucky to have such supportive friends!!!

I'm so glad your mom is home. That's got to be a bit of an emotional boost, just to be out of the hospital. And glad your step brother can help take some of the intensity off of you. I put a card to her in the mail this morning -- you'll probably get it Sunday. Take care.
I am so happy to hear your Mom is home from the hospital Bethie...also that you and some family members are close by! You must be exhausted!...Please take good care of yourself....and know I am thinking of you all...XXXOOO
Dearest Beth,
I've just now caught up with your last two posts...oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear of what your mom has gone through these last few days!! I guess it's a good sign that they've let her go home but she doesn't seem to be out of the woods yet. It made my blood boil when I read how the doctor never told any of you what the surgery entailed...it had actually surprised me that they would even operate on a 79 year old woman's spine when you first posted about it!! To think that she went through all of that for nothing and now is in worse shape because of it...!!!! Please know that my prayers are with her and that I'm sending you a big comforting hug. xoxo
I'm praying for your mom too, Beth!
Beth, I am so happy to read that Lottie is home. this reminds me so much of my mom. Gentle care and time will help ease some of the pain as she regains strength.
Blessings to you both,
Annie
You know I am right there by your side and loven ya both. This is a very unfair time for everyone there. Wow I wish I lived down the street and could just visit all the time as needed.
Oh, I don't have a blog any more, so I'll drop by and you can email me to talk. Maybe I'll call this weekend.
Know I'm there for you Bethy. xo
