Fun time at Baby Shower!!!

So I am finally posting pics of my Daughter's baby shower last Saturday.  Her Stepmother and Father and Grandmother held it at her Father's house.  Wow, she received a lot of wonderful presents.  Mommy and Daddy were both there and had a great time.  Only bad part was that Kalyn had a small piece of cake and some punch and her blood sugar went up a little too high.  She has been good about keeping it where the Dr. wants it to be.  So he was forgiving of it when he checked out her numbers on Monday.  Now for a few pics of the Fun time.

I think we now have every thing we need for Larriyah's arrival.  Only 5 more weeks.  I just can't wait to hold that little "Sweet Foot".   That is her Indian name that my Wonderful Friend, Rosemary gave to her.

Sweet Little Foot!

Kalyn at 33 weeks of Pregnancy!

It seems like my Sweet Granddaughter just does not want to let us see her face. The past several times that my daughter has had a Ultrasound, Larriyah keeps her hands in front of her face!  Yesterday they even took a horn device that they called a baby simulator and put it on Kalyn's stomach and honked it.  Larriyah moved her hands but not away from her face.  The Tech. did it again,,this time Larriyah just waved her little hand, as if to say, "I hear you, Bye Bye, leave me alone now!"   She already has a reputation with the Ultrasound Techs. at Vanderbilt as being Stubborn and Camera Shy. 
But other than being stubborn, she is doing really good!  We always get to see her little heart beating and all of her other organs.  Oh,,and she is really good about showing her feet!  Well, at least she isn't always showing her butt. Ha Ha!  I Love this Sweet Baby so much and can't wait to meet here  FACE-TO-FACE!

And I also want to kiss that Sweet little foot!   I hope every one has a happy Friday and a Great Week-end.  We are under the gun for Tornadoes again today. Getting tired of Severe Weather,,ready for a mild spring.

Good Grief,,so much for posting on my blog more often.  Oh,,it's only been a month,,lol.   But Wow,,what a busy month.  Since the now, very Pregnant daughter, Kalyn got the gestational diabetes we have had to spend quite a bit more time at the doctors for stress test and Ultrasounds.  We also have been taking a lot more walks together since the weather has been so nice.  Hard to believe how mild it has been this February.

The pictures above were made a Beautiful Natural area called Radnor Lake.  It's pretty much in the middle of Nashville.  Over a hundred acres and a lot of walking trails. It's not far from Kalyn's doctor's office.  It has quite a few benches to rest on as you walk around the lake.  When we first got on the trail we passed a Priest in a full robe,,walking with a companion.  Not to far after we passed him we found this on the next bench.

A really neat cross made with sticks and a rock.  We felt certain the Priest had made it and we left it untouched.  It made us feel good inside.  I hope it made the next hikers happy too.  Later on we came to another bench and this is what we found on it.

It didn't have a name on it but I am pretty sure that it was made into the bench in remembrance of a Art Teacher.  You know I Loved this!!!

There were so many logs laying on the side of the lake and just about every one of them had big turtles that were sunning themselves.  Of course I only had my Ipod with me and not my good camera so I couldn't get close enough to them to get a good picture.  But it really was a fun day.

So,,,another big event this month was my 50th Birthday on February 15th.   And my Sweet Hubby had a surprise Birthday party for me.  It was so much fun!  All my neighbors and good friends showed up for it.  But one of my friends was sick and couldn't come,,, missed you Rosemary.

As you can see I had a wonderful time!  My neighbor friends and Kalyn and Larry decorated the house.  It made turning 50 a lot easier!  Also,,my Precious Mom turned 83 on February 22nd.  We had cake and ice cream at her house, my brother made the cake for her.  We stopped in after being at Kalyn's doctor's office and of course I didn't have my Camera.  But as you can see she is doing great.  I Love the picture of Kalyn, Mom, and I at my Party.  Pretty soon there will a 4th generation with us.  

Kalyn has got her sugar under control now.  But we now have to go to her doctor twice a week.  Fun part is we get to see Larriyah every Thursday on Ultrasound.

Life is going really good now.  I am almost ready to finish up my website that I will be selling my Headbands, Bows, Clips, and Hats.  I am also trying to make a new blog with them on it.  But my time is pretty precious right now.  

We have every thing that Larriyah needs now, but Kalyn's Stepmother and her other Grandmother are going to have a Baby shower for her this Saturday.  You better believe I will have my Camera with me then.

I am so EXCITED!!!  Kalyn's Doctor said he will induce her a week a head of time which means she will be here around Easter.  We are calling her "Our Easter Egg"  lol.

Well it's getting late and I am going to go visit every ones blogs before I head to bed.  We get to go see Larriyah tomorrow.  I LOVE THAT LITTLE BABY SO MUCH!!!

A Long week has passed, now for next week.

I really am pretty proud of myself,,I know it's been a week and a day since I have posted but I am still keeping up with blogging, when I have the time.  Last week was long and busy.  Monday morning I had to have my stepbrother at Hospital in Nashville by 9:30 a.m.  He had to have an arteriogram of his heart.  He had a bad heart attack 20 years ago and had to have several by passes done.  Then 4 years later, he had two more stints put in his heart.  Heart disease runs in his family.  His Mother passed away with a Massive Heart Attack when she was 40 years old. They found out Monday the two stints were partially blocked again.  So we had to go back to hospital on Friday to have them replaced.  On Wednesday, my daughter had to go to OB doctor in Nashville for a Gestational Diabetes test. She had to drink a very sweet drink and then have her blood drawn an hour later.  Next day we found out she does have Gestational Diabetes.  But it is fairly common in alot of women. She has to go tomorrow morning to see a nutrionist and then back on Wednesday for two more Doctor's appointments.  And my brother had to stay in the Hospital after the stints were put in Friday, hoping he will be able to come home today.  So I am rather sick of Doctors and Hospitals after last week.  Never have been too fond of either places.  
My daughter should be okay as long as she watches her carbs and gets some excercise.  This is a girl who has never ever liked vegetables or fruit, every since she was a baby,,a very picky eater.  But now she is going to have to make some changes because she knows if she doesn't she is risking her health and her baby's health.  She has gained ALOT of weight with this Pregnancy and I am pretty worried about how things will go.  I am glad that she is living with me and I can keep an eye on her.  She only has 10 more weeks till she is due but with this new development, she may have to have a c-section before the due date.  I will find out more next week.  So this has been my wonderful past week,,lol.  I did scan a few more pics of some of my recent art so I will post them for something a little more pleasant than Doctors and Hospitals.  I hope you had a better week than I did and hope you have a great week ahead.
